Contemporary music director

We are looking for someone to lead and develop our contemporary music ministry at St Martins Killara. This is a part time paid position, commensurate with your experience.

You will be a musically gifted committed evangelical Christian, a humble leader, pastorally warm, hardworking, teachable, and faithful to the gospel.

You are someone who brings a joy and creativity to our growing and vibrant morning church.  The role includes:

  • leading and developing the music ministry team (including teens and adults) for the Sunday 10am congregation and special services as needed
  • choosing songs and arrangements, liaising with preacher, service leader and music team (so experience with Elvanto or similar is desirable)
  • leading music set up and run through prior to the service, leading singing/music during the service, and pack up.
  • developing music ministry team members through regular rehearsals and collaboration

The position commences in Jan/Feb 2020 but we would consider an earlier start for the right person who could be a part of our music team until then.

Please apply by sending your expression of interest, including CV and the names of at least two referees, one of whom should be your current Church Minister, to Matt Heazlewood (Senior Minister) office@stmartinskillara.org or call 02 9880 2137 if you would like more information.
